Lease purchase - end of agreement deferred payments
Similar to hire purchase but the main difference being in the
terms and structure of repayments. There is a deferment in paying a
substantial part of the asset until the end of the agreement.
Finance lease - pay for the vehicle during the contract
life
Ideal for companies who prefer to handle the administration of
their vehicles themselves and have the asset shown on their balance
sheet. This product has a rental that covers virtually all of the
costs of the asset along with the benefit of fixed monthly rentals
which allows better budgeting.
Personal contract purchase & personal contract hire
Typically a consumer product, a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)
generally operates for 2 or 3 years. The customer pays a deposit at
the beginning of the period and makes set monthly repayments, with
an option to buy or return the vehicle at the end of the contract.
Personal contract hire works in the same way without the option to
purchase the asset.
